SUMMARY

During this program, participants will learn natural nails, gel and acrylics. The program will also cover advanced nail art, manicure and pedicure. This program can lead to job opportunities in salons as well as own business.

Participants will gain the skills and confidence needed to work in industry. Throughout the program students will work alongside industry professionals.

At the Academy students will work in our beauty salons as a simulated working environment. Students will be participating in a simulated salon environment to best enable students for the industry.

Students will be assessed by qualified industry professional trainers. These trainers will guide students through there learning to best equip them in the work force.

*RPL is assessed at enrolment and is calculated on each person’s previous experience and qualifications.

Salon Placement

To fulfil the requirements of the qualification, students are required to complete a variety of services in our Student Salon at the Academy. This needs to be on variety of clients to demonstrate and apply the practical skills and knowledge and complete the assessment requirements. Students will be able “Book In” to the students salon once confident to complete the assessment. This done at each students own pace.

Course Intake

Flexible Learning Program

 

Study Mode : Blended – A combination of online and face to face classes.
All practical sessions and assessment will be conducted at the academy and theory to be completed online.
Homework hours: 5 hours a week 
Contact hours : 3 Hours a week, when practical blocks are conducted

Enrolments : rolling intake, can enrol at any time and get started with online learning.
May need to wait until next available practical block or new unit commencement. Please enquire for specific dates.

Mode of Delivery

Flexible Learning Program is designed to give students the flexibly to study at their own pace via a combination of online learning and face to face to training and Salon Practice.

Online learning includes:

Individual Video Calls, Live webinars weekly, Technique Videos, Resources, Guided 1 on1 Practical Sessions, online assessments, email and phone support.

Available at the Academy:  

Blocks of Training (Face to Face Classes), Drop In Sessions, Student Salon, 1 on 1 In person support.

What is Block Training ?  

Block Training is when you complete all theory and some practical aspects online via webinar’s, tutorials and e learning and individual video chats. Then you will then attend the academy to complete the practical aspects of the program in “Blocks” intensive practical sessions. 


The end date of the program is flexible depending on your individual needs. If you want to “Fast Track” or “Slow Down” the practical aspects of your course you can as this is what a Flexible Learning Program is all about. Making sure that you get the right skills and confidence that you need to be successful at the right pace for you. 

This means if you need more time to do your practical part of the program, you got it! Everything is super flexible including the length of your course payments.

Blocks of Training

To complete the qualification students are required to attend Blocks of Training. Before a Block can be completed, there is a minimum of online content required to be completed before the Blocks can commence.

Requirements

Applicants must have successfully completed Year 10, be at least 16 years of age and have basic computer competency.

Prior to enrolment all prospective participants are required to  attend a pre enrolment interview.
