Summary

During the program Participants will gain the necessary skills and confidence to work as a Freelance Makeup Artists, providing Makeup, Airbrush Makeup and Hairstyling Services to clients. Job outcomes include working for clients such as Photography Studios, Bridal and Personal Services, Spa and Salons, Fashion Industry including Runways, Photoshoots and events. This course includes a series of Professional Photo Shoot to develop a Professional Portfolio.

Work Placement is provided in the Media Makeup Retail Store and Student Salon located at the Academy as well as in industry. This is compulsory requirement of the qualification and the hours are outside of the contract hours of the course program.

Total Work Placement/ Work Experience is 45 hours.

Course Intake

This course is conducted by flexible learning over 24 weeks

You will receive a confirmation of enrolment that secures your place in an intake or when a deposit is required payment of the deposit will secure a place. Positions will not be held without either requirement.

Mode of Delivery

All of our Programs have a strong focus on practical application, where students will learn within a simulated workplace environment. Students will work with our highly skilled trainers to observe Trainer demonstrations, practice their skills and receive one on one feedback, gather hints and tips about working in the industry, and reviewing the latest trends. We have two types of study options available:

 

Flexible Learning Program- Online & Face to Face

A combination of e-learning and “Blocks of Training” at the Academy completed at your own pace. Enrolments on rolling bases, so start whenever you like and is good for you! “Blocks of Training” are available each month and dates will be provided at enrolment.

(DUE TO COVID-19 this is highly recommended)

 

Class Sizes

The maximum number of students per full time course is 10 and part time is 12 students. This is to ensure each student receives individual guidance throughout the course program.

Applicants must have successfully completed year 10, be at least 16 years of age and basic computer competency

Participants are required to purchase kits and materials prior to the first day of class. Students to supply their own camera, stationery, two hand towels, a lap top and a makeup cape.
